Bonnie Dworaczyk and Richard Palmer, Jr. were united in marriage on March 15,2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blanco, Texas. The two families became one at a ceremony and celebration on April 19, 2008.

Trey and Kary Phipps happily announce the birth of their son, Trent Matthew. He was born April 18, 2008 at Seton Southwest in Austin, TX. Trent is welcomed home by his sister Kristy of Austin, brother Jerrick, grandparents Roy and Doris Phipps, great-grandparents Anna Phipps, Vernon and Hilda Schmidt, Uncle Brad, Aunt Kim, DJ and Brandon Phipps all of Blanco.

Caroline Scout Seymour came into this world on February 22, weighting 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. She was anxiously welcomed by big sisters Addy and Catherine, who giggled because she was small enough to fit INSIDE her Easter basket!

Gerald and Margaret Wilke proudly announce the birth of their fifth grandchild, Kendall Margaret, born in the Methodist Hospital on March 13, 2008. She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Her parents are William and Kristin Jung, and her big brother is Tyler, all of San Antonio.

Judge Bill Guthrie issued the proclamation that April 2008 is Child Abuse Awareness Month in Blanco County. This was requested by Diane Beagle, Chairwoman of the Blanco County Child Protection and Family Advocacy Board.

Jason Robert Davis and Kristin Marie Canady happily announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. They will be joined by family and close friends on March 22, 2008 as they begin this journey as husband and wife. This celebration of love will be held in Burnet, TX where both are employed in law enforcement.

Greg and Donna Norris of Spring Branch, Texas and David and Linda Lehmann of Warda, Texas announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children, Brenda Michelle Norris and Justin Robert Lehmann. Brenda and Justin were engaged on March 14, 2007 overlooking the Continental Divide in Winter Park, CO.

Jewell Scott proudly announces the birth of her great granddaughter. Addison Claire Scott was born January 31, 2008 in Round Rock, Texas, weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces and 19 inches long. Parents are Christopher and Stephanie Scott of Austin.

Ramon and Diana Rios would like to announce their engagement of their daughter Marcia Weatherby-Rios to Kenneth Dustin Thompson, son of Darell and Betty Thompson of Friona, Texas. Their wedding will be held at the Calvary Baptist church on Saturday March 1st, 2008 in Friona, Texas. Marcia is a 2006 graduate of Blanco High School and Dustin is a 2004 graduate of Friona High School.
