Carolyn L. "Corky" Kincaid Williams Jones, age 66 of Blanco, TX died Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Corky was born November 1, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a Baptist and a Recognized Photographer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Evelyn Kincaid; three brothers, Frank, Melvin and Ed Kincaid; and one sister, Jackie Kincaid; one sister-in-law, Vicki Kincaid; and one brother-in-law, Harold Elliot. Donald C. Warrington, 89, died peacefully in his sleep on September 13, 2008, in Live Oak Medical Center, Blanco, Texas. He was born August 30, 1919, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to John Burwell Warrington and Sarah Isabel Warrington. Don’s education at Drexel Institute of Technology was interrupted by World War II. As a lifelong Quaker, Don registered as a conscientious objector (CO) and did alternative service with the Civilian Public Service (CPS). |

Roy R. Rosa, age 99...and one-half, peacefully passed away in Johnson City, Texas, on Thursday evening, September 25, 2008. Roy was born in Sandy, Texas, on February 4, 1909, on the J.H. Rosa Ranch, established by his grandfather, J.H. Rosa, Sr. in the 1860’s. Roy was a true cowboy and rancher all his life and an excellent steward of the land and livestock long before environmental studies and regulations. |

Ruth Anna Hoffman Ford, 91, daughter of Rollo Hoffman and Ruth Marques Hoffman, was born February 28, 1917, at Whitefish, Flathead County, Montana. She told of the doctor traveling in 20 degrees below zero through a snow storm for the event. The family left Montana, due to her mother’s failing health, in a Model T Ford in the late 1920’s and arrived in San Antonio, Texas. |

Edda Triesch Deike was born in Blanco, Texas on February 17, 1907 to Henry and Katherine Preiss Triesch. She died in Blanco, Texas at the age of 101 years and seven months on September 18, 2008. Edda was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Deike, her parents, and all of her siblings; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. |

Born June 26th, 1980 Cody was called home to his Lord in Heaven September 11th, 2008. Cody suffered Traumatic Brain Injury from a rollover accident near Ingram, Texas on December 7th, 2005. Cody endured the past 33 months in a coma. Cody’s suffering and pain has ended. He can laugh, dance, and smile again with his savior Jesus Christ. |

Donnie Smith was born May 14, 1959 in Bexar County and left this world on Friday, September 12, 2008 in Round Mountain at the age of 49. He is survived by two daughters; Katrina Smith and fiancé Clayton Wells of Round Mountain, Texas, Shayla Smith and fiancé Lucas Henderson of Round Mountain, Texas, grandson Devon Smith, who is expecting a sister, of Round Mountain. |

The other night a beautiful person went to live in the Lord’s House. Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and daughter and had been active in some of the school’s activities in Blanco. She will be sorely missed by her immediate family of husband, Ernest Carrola, and son, Austin Carrola. |

Max Castillo, 36, passed away September 13, 2008. Max was born in Austin, TX to Clemente B. Castillo and Julie Perez Castillo. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Villarreal, nephew Paul Flores and niece, Jessica Flores. Max is survived by his wife, Shannon Castillo, daughter, Rebecca Castillo, son, Ethan Castillo, step-son, Robert Justice, parents, Clemente B. |
