Our beloved mother, Julia Ann Frances (Cooley) Herrin, went to be with our heavenly Father on Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Blanco, Texas at the age of 97. She is survived by her daughters, Wilta Bottles and Aline Wright, both of Kendalia, Texas; three grandsons, Kevin Wright of Kendalia, Texas, Howard Bottles and wife Karlyn of Driftwood, Texas and Richard Wright and wife Susan of Sandia, Texas.

Charles William Rothenbach, age 62, passed away at his home on Sunday June 14, 2009. Born in Milwaukee, WI, on July10, 1946, he was the son of William Ray Rothenbach and Josephine Ludolf Rothenbach Lawhon. Charles attended public schools in Boerne and Blanco and later joined the U.S. Army where he served from 1966 thru 1969.

Allen Anthony Chapman passed away on June 5, 2009 at the age of 42. He is survived by his sisters, Lisa and Donna; brother, Michael; his wife, Connie; and his children, Angel, Alex, Wolfgang, Sophia and Meghan. The family will receive friends at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 3125 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX on Friday June 12 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Ethel Cribbs Hunt, 92, known as “Honey” to all, was born April 2, 1917, in Coalgate, Oklahoma, and passed away on May 23, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Honey graduated from high school in Coalgate, Oklahoma, married her love, Bill Hunt, in 1934, and moved to Dickinson, Texas.

Lena Grace Hobbs, 90, a resident of Johnson City all of her life, passed away Tuesday the 26th of May, 2009 at LBJ Medical Center. She took such pride in keeping her house and cooking for her family. Later in life she loved her church and the long time friends in her Sunday School Class. Her husband, Nathan Hobbs, preceded her in death as well as her parents, Otellia and Lisle Page, and her brothers, Uncas, Jessie, Homer, and Eddie Page.

1943-2009

David Key, nationally recognized figure in ballroom dancing, passed away peacefully in his partner’s company on May 14th after suffering a sudden severe seizure at home a few days earlier. David was President of the Pan American Teachers of Dancing and last year’s recipient of the Living Legends of Dance Award.

Hazel West Price, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009. She was born March 8, 1927, to Henry “Dude” West and Pearl Bagby West in Blanco, living most of her life there. Hazel married Charlie Fulcher Price on March 18, 1945. Charlie preceded in death on July 17, 1998. Hazel wore many hats in her lifetime while taking care of her family.

Iola Pauline (Sheffield) Albritton Harty, 91 of Pearland, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009. She was born in Joseph, Texas to William and Anna Sheffield. During Iola’s lifetime she worked for a variety of companies. She owned a grocery store in Friendswood, Texas for 21 years and also worked for the Shelby Biscuit Company.

Arlene Coffee passed away April 29, 2009, in Stockton, California, having succumbed to her second battle with breast cancer. Arlene was born July 27, 1943 in Jarrell, Texas, to Eddie Murl White and James Pinkston. She attended high school in Austin and later married Lawrence Coffee and moved to Peyton Colony in Blanco, Texas, where she worked for Community Action Inc. She was a faithful member of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church, in Stockton, California until her death.

Eddie “Ed” Dorian Liesman, 88, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Herwig, and his parents, Edward Fritz and Donie Walsmith Liesman. Ed was a home builder and a member of the Onion Creek Masonic Lodge, the Blanco Masonic Lodge, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
