Being a responsible Pedernales Electric Cooperative member isn’t for sissies. After prying open the doors of secrecy and self-perpetuating elections, members now face the task of choosing among 58 candidates running for 5 seats at the table of the Johnson City co-op.

Pedernales Electric General Manager Juan Garza will be visiting local communities to meet with members in a series of forums being held throughout PEC’s service territory. Members are invited to attend the forums, which will be held between May 6-29 in Dripping Springs, Marble Falls, Kyle, Georgetown, Austin, Spring Branch/Bulverde area and Junction.

The Texas State University ~ San Marcos Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team hosted over 300 students Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in the Minifie Academic Atrium in the McCoy College of Business. The purpose of the event was to focus on employers’ needs by providing a learning forum to improve students’ resumes, appearance, etiquette, demeanor and interviewing skills. New SIFE students, SIFE officers and corporate executives all helped to make the event a positive experience for students who want to improve their workforce readiness.

The Marble Falls Police Department has a Felony warrant for Burglary of Habitation/Intend Other Felony for the home invasion which occurred at 813 Lacey Oaks Circle in Marble Falls on Monday March 17, 2008.
