Every year, Blanco residents dutifully traipse to surrounding cities to do their Christmas shopping. Blanco residents miss out on the magical, relaxed, and convenient experience of shopping for unique and special gifts right here in our hometown.

This year, the Blanco Chamber of Commerce encourages all Blanco residents to think twice before heading off to somewhere else to do their shopping. Not only does it consume valuable resources of time and money to do so ; it also means that thousands of dollars leave our community , dollars that could go toward the vitality, improvement , and maintenance of our own town. Keeping revenues in Blanco is a Christmas gift for all of us, and is also more eco-friendly!

Blanco is full of gift possibilities. Almost every restaurant and boutique shop offer gift certificates as do the video stores, grocery stores, and many service providers (how about the gift of an oil change, a State Park permit, a pedicure, a savings bond, teeth whitening, or a set of business cards).

Lavender products (cookbooks, lip balms, lotions, soaps, sachets, foods, etc.) are always a nice gift and can be found in most shops on the square. Another walk around the square will yield pottery, books, plants, candy, jewelry, makeup , historic souvenirs, antiques, unique food items, Bibles, t-shirts and other clothing, stocking stuffers, and stamps!

A bottle of Texas wine, some micro-brew, or fine liqueur is always a welcome treat, as are baked goods, gourmet foods and specialty meats. Give the gift of travel and buy a night or a weekend stay at one of our motels or B&Bs! Another option is to shop at one of our Christmas Markets: Blanco Lavender Lights over Thanksgiving Weekend and the Courthouse Holiday Market Day on Saturday, December 13.

The possibilities for shopping in Blanco are endless! You can come by the Chamber for a list of our members and get even more ideas. Most of all, enjoy shopping Blanco for Christmas!Blanco Chamber of Commerce encourages residents to Shop Blanco for Christmas
