SAN MARCOS, Texas (Grassroots Newswire) October 1, 2008 - Texas State University-San Marcos has announced that the following students were among the graduates during commencement ceremonies held May 9 and 10 at the university:

*William B. Keresztury, a resident of Blanco (78606), who received a bachelor's degree in political science

*Charles A. Cowsert, a resident of Johnson City (78636), who received a master's degree in geography - land/area development and management

*Thomas R. Walston, a resident of Johnson City (78636), who received a bachelor's degree in health and wellness promotion

*Richard M. Rathburn, a resident of Kendalia (78027), who received a master's degree in educational leadership

Texas State is a doctoral granting university located in the Austin-San Antonio corridor on the edge of the Texas Hill Country. With an enrollment of 29,125 students, it is the largest campus in the Texas State University System, one of the 75 largest universities in the country and has been named one of America's Best Value Colleges by the Princeton Review.
