Blanco High School was the host setting for the Blanco Middle School Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, September 27. The tournament was for 7th and 8th grade 'A' teams from Johnson City, Lago Vista, Comfort, St. Mary's(Fredericksburg) and Blanco. Each team played two games against the remaining four teams and a tally of wins and losses were kept.

In the end, the Blanco Middle School 7th grade team finished in first place with a total of six wins and only two losses. St. Mary's team placed second with five wins and three losses.

The members of the 7th grade team are: Devon Branch, Zoe Cox, Kasie Dowdy, Meaghan Seales, Meaghen Wier, Taylor Guinn, Maria Avila, Codie Raby and Leah Cloud. Their coach is Michelle Davis.
