Following the 10:00a.m. worship services on Sunday, September 25th, the Blanco Cowboy Church Family held their 3rd Annual Youth Playday at the Church Arena. Pastor Frank Spillman preached the Word with the Cowboy Praise Team of Ryon and Rene Krause ministering in song.

After the worship service, Riley BBQ provided a delicious food concession on the Church grounds for the hungry cowgirls and cowboys. The Church family provided free bottled water, iced down in a big water trough, all afternoon for all of the families, workers and contestants; and everyone was thankful for the beautiful clear skies, dry arena and great fellowship.

Tom and Mary Ayers and son, Tom, Jr. headed up the leadership team and all of the Church family cowboys and cowgirls rallied to their side by rolling barrels, setting poles, holding, staking and untying goats, working the gate, judging and time keeping, announcing, bookkeeping, and all the many jobs that were done to make the playday a rousing success for all the youngsters.

PRCA Bull fighter Mike Matt, his wife, Lesli, and son Mason, headed up the Dummy Roping Events and Stick Horse Races.

Winners for the many events were awarded Gist Silversmith Buckles for All Around in each of the four age groups; and 1st thru 4th place prizes in each event in each age group; being,

1st place - Leather Breast Collars; 2nd Place - Leather Tie Downs; 3rd Place - Leather Head Stalls; 4th Place - Rope Halters; and Leather Crosses were awarded thru all remaining places.
