The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center must collect 600 units of blood daily to adequately supply over 100 hospitals in 43 counties.

To help this great need, a blood drive has been set up in the Blanco community. Come donate the gift of life at this location: Blanco National Bank, 416 Main Street (In the back parking lot); Thursday, October 9, 9:00a.m. to noon.

All presenting donors in October will receive an STBTC tote bag and are eligible to win a chartered bus trip to Dallas and two tickets to watch the Dallas Cowboys versus the San Francisco 49ers! The trip is November 22-23 and includes overnight accommodations.

The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC) is a unique non-profit resource that saves lives by working with volunteer donors to provide the highest quality blood and tissue components to patients in over 100 hospitals across 43 Texas counties.

Each year we collect and test more than 200,000 components of life-saving blood and tissue from volunteers all over South Texas.
