The other night a beautiful person went to live in the Lord’s House. Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and daughter and had been active in some of the school’s activities in Blanco.

She will be sorely missed by her immediate family of husband, Ernest Carrola, and son, Austin Carrola. In addition her other family consisted of son, Travis Eubank and wife Sophie; daughter Cassandra Owen and fiancé Steven Merz, parents John and Elizabeth Steele, brother John Steele, Jr and wife Jan, sister Kathleen Steele, nieces Rachel Gomez and husband Steven, niece Natalie Steele, nephew John Steele, III and her great-nephew Andrew Campbell.

Karen was born in Houston, TX and graduated from Roosevelt High School in San Antonio and she attended the University of Texas in Austin. She worked for many years for Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages before retiring.

In the last few years she has been an ardent supporter of her youngest son’s sports activities: basketball, football and mostly tennis, in the Blanco School District.

A memorial service was held 10:00a.m. Saturday, September 6 at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco with Brother Rusty Hicks officiating.

Our loss is the Lord’s gain and we regretfully say to Karen, ”Vaya con Dios” (Go with God)
