The Blanco Bowling Club represented Comal County in the Senior Men’s Tri-County bowling tournament on August 17.

The 9 pin Tri-County bowling clubs are from the three counties of Comal (which Blanco isa part of), Bexar, and Guadalupe.

Tournaments are held at each county, and the winner represents that county at the Tri-County competition.

This 9-pin event was held at the Mission Valley bowling lanes in New Braunfels.

The tournament winning team was determined by the best two games of 239 and 262 for a total of 501 pins.

The Blanco team members were Capt. John L. Dechert, Emery Gass, Arlin Dowdy, L. J. Preiss, Harvey Rust, and Tom Gourley.
