1Ti 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” 2Ti 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” We are living in a day of great deception. God said HIS people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6). Knowledge of what? Knowledge of His Word. If you don’t know the truth, you cannot spot a lie. We MUST know God’s Word.

I read a recent article that said a poll of Evangelical Christians was taken, and over 60% did not believe Jesus was the only way to heaven. That leads me to believe that at least 60% of pastors don’t believe that, either. We’re seeing a departure from the faith. We’re seeing people turn their ears from the truth. The time is coming, and is already here. The last days apostasy seems to be in full swing (2Thess 2:3). Do not waiver; do not be moved. Know the truth and stand for the truth. But what is the truth concerning Jesus? Let’s find out.

Isa 43:11 says “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior.” Isa 45:22 says “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” (See also Isa 45:5-6, 18, 21). We see in 1Jn 4:14 that Jesus was sent to be savior of the world. Since there is only one savior, and only one God- then this clearly proves that Jesus is God (see also Mt 1:23, Jn 1:1&14, Acts 20:28, 1Cor 15:47, Heb 1:3&8, 1Tim 3:16, Rev 1:17&18). Jesus is The Door, The Way, The Truth, and The Life (Jn 10:7&9, 14:6). He didn’t say He was a way, a door, etc. No, He was very exclusive. Christianity is exclusive. That offends a lot of people; but it doesn’t change God’s Word. Have I become your enemy, because I tell you the truth (Gal 4:16)?

If you don’t put faith in Jesus, you will die in your sins (Jn 8:24). In fact, you’re already dead (Jn 3:18, 36). One breath is all that separates the unbeliever from an eternity in Hell. That’s not pleasant, but it’s the truth (Mk 9:43-48, 2Thess 1:6-9, Rev 20:10-15). There are no second chances after you die (Heb 9:27). Today is the day of salvation (2Cor 6:2). If you don’t abide in Jesus’ doctrine- you don’t have God (2Jn 1:9). If you don’t have The Son, you don’t have The Father (1Jn 2:22-23). You will not get to God or to heaven, except through The Son. If you don’t believe that, then you don’t believe God’s Word. If you don’t believe God’s Word, please don’t call yourself a Christian - Christianity is based on God’s Word.

You may say, “But a merciful, compassionate God wouldn’t send people to Hell.” You’re right, He wouldn’t. If you go, you’ll go by choice. Hell was created for the devil and his angels (Mt 25:41). God, in His mercy, has given us an escape. He gave us His Son. What more can He give? If you reject His Son Jesus, there is no more sacrifice left for you (1Cor 10:13, Heb 2:3, 10:26-31). You have the choice of life or death; blessing or curse; the narrow way or the broad way (Dt 30:19, Mt 7:13-14). Have you made your choice? I pray you choose Jesus.

Salvation is in the Name of Jesus alone (Acts 4:12, Phi 2:9-11). Not Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, Brahma; Bob, Ted, or Sue. Eternal life is in Jesus (1Jn 5:11-12, Jn 3:16, 17:3). You can’t have one without the other. If you have Jesus, you have eternal life. If you don’t have Jesus, you don’t have eternal life. They come together, or they don’t come at all. If you don’t receive Jesus, you can’t become a child of God (Jn 1:12). It is crucial that we cut through the lies and deception around us, and stand for the truth of the Gospel. Hold fast your profession of faith (Heb 10:23). Being sincere or “basically good” will not save you (Mk 16:15-16, Acts 16:30-32).

If you are not saved, repent right now. Turn from darkness to light; from your way to God’s way. Believe in your heart The Father raised Jesus from the dead. Confess He is Lord with your mouth. Turn from your sin to God’s goodness. Put faith in Jesus alone for salvation. You can have eternal life today. Read The Bible and obey it, pray to God in Jesus Name, & fellowship with other believers. Until next time, rejoice in The Lord!
