The Blanco Little League has announced the Minor Boys All-Star Team. The players include: Hayden Calzoncit, Jonathon Campbell, Ross Edwards, Jesse Ferrell, Jackson Fordice, Chase Horton, Jeremy Kindla, Jack Morgan, Logan Parker, Hugo Rodriguez, Jacob Ruiz, Devin Sauerhoff, and Jordan Wagner. After 3 months of regular season baseball, these fine young athletes are now going through intense practice sessions preparing them for their upcoming post-season play.

Heading the Team is Jessie Ruiz; his assistants include Eddie Calzoncit and Jason Parker. Coach Ruiz, a long time resident of Blanco, stated that he was mainly concentrating on recruiting kids that had the best pitching and batting qualities; positioning is a key factor but it will fall in place. Coach Ruiz wanted to emphasize the difficulty to finalize the players…there were many quality kids that could have made it; and although tough, he and his staff struggled through the decision process to get what they believed to be a strong and committed team.

The team has a couple of weeks to practice before they start their challenges against other area Little League All-Star teams. The first game of the season is scheduled Friday, June 27th, 8:00 PM in Johnson City against Wimberley.
