Chairman Will S. Moursund and President & CEO Gary Gruben are pleased to announce the construction of a new banking facility for Cattleman’s National Bank in Blanco, Texas. The bank opened in January of 1987 to provide banking services for the citizens of Blanco and surrounding communities. The Blanco location was the first branch expansion of Cattleman’s National Bank from its main office in Round Mountain.

Chairman Moursund reported that the Board of Directors recently approved the construction of a new bank building for the community of Blanco. Bank Directors include Chairman Will Moursund, Rory Boatright, H.E. “Butch” Crofts, R.B. Felps, Elman Fuchs, Gary Gruben, Steve Nash, F.M. “Fuzzy” Reagor, and Val Smith. Advisory Directors include Mark Hodges, Ingrid Moursund and Mary Moursund.

Project architect, Steve Thomas, with the architectural firm of Stehling, Klein, Thomas Architects located in Fredericksburg, provided the architectural design which will feature a polished red-granite exterior finish.

Building contractor, Steve Nash, with Nash Builders, LTD, located in Horseshoe Bay, was selected to build the new building. Completion of the new bank building is scheduled for the first quarter 2009.
