The final Brown Bag program of this season will be held at noon on Thursday, June 5th at the Blanco Library. This popular series will resume in September, coinciding with a quilt exhibit by the Wimberley Valley Quilters featuring beautiful quilts with storybook themes. The quilts will be donated to the Hays-Caldwell County Woman’s Shelter after the exhibit.

The June program will host two local authors who will review their books and discuss their writing experiences.

Richard Knoll’s writing career began in the Blanco Schools where he wrote short stories and fanciful tales. Blessed with a tireless and overactive imagination, writing has become almost an addiction. His book, Shahly’s Quest, is Book One in The Chronicles of Brawrloxoss; a fantasy complete with mystical creatures, dragons and one small unicorn on a quest.

Albert Santos is a retired schoolteacher who has lived in San Antonio all his life. After his retirement, he began writing short stories and poetry. Several of his poems have been published in magazines and a new book of poems is nearly ready for publication. His first novel, Oceanside Revisited, was published under the name of Santos DeLeon and tells of a journey that begins in Central Texas and ends in Oceanside, California.
