Elsie Lee Flugrath McClain, 83, born in Blanco on August 6, 1924 and passed away on May 6, 2008 at Colonial Manor Care Center in New Braunfels. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Penshorn and husband Roy of Blanco and one brother, Hilmar Flugrath of New Braunfels. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

On behalf of the Penshorn family, we wish to thank you for all the flowers, food, and loving thoughts and prayers that were sent our way. We want this day to be remembered not as a day of mourning for a loved one, but as a joyous day of a new life in heaven.

We will all remember the loving times we shared with Lee. She had a good life. She enjoyed the friendship with the people she knew. She enjoyed teaching all those years and had fond memories of those days. She enjoyed working and living on the ranch that she and Dad built. And she especially loved the times at church and the Christian fellowship.

Lee is now in heaven enjoying being in the presence of the Almighty God, and being with her husband, parents and loved ones. We will truly miss her, but will not grieve, for she has a brand new life.

Services for Lee were held at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 3:00 PM. Burial for Lee was held at the Beck – Kuebel Cemetery outside of Blanco.
