Our new office building on 4th St. Look for our sign!

The Blanco County News first started publishing from a small building near the jail, on the west side of the square. Since its first issue in 1883, the News has called several buildings in Blanco home, and was once published out of the front room of the Baines home (Amenthal) in Pittsburg.

The Blanco County News is on the move again, after over eight years at our current location at 310 Pecan St., on the square. Our new home is in the Germania/Phillips Insurance building at 714 4th Street, between Hackberry and Cherry streets, across from Blanco Hydro Gas, and next door to Mildred Jones, CPA.

As seen by those who’ve visited the Pecan Street office, the moving process is not immediate. The goal is to have the move completed by next week.

The Blanco County News will continue serving the community, as it always has, from the new office location. The office hours will remain Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5 PM.
