State and national hospital political action committees have named Lucille Rochs of Fredericksburg as a 2007 Most Valuable PAC Player.

Lisa Kepple, director of HOSPAC, the Texas Hospital Association’s political action committee, said Mrs. Rochs was nominated to receive the award in recognition of her dedication as a long-time HOSPAC leader.

“She is a key, hard-working member of the board and has been consistently involved in the important work of grassroots involvement with area legislators regarding important health care policy issues,” she said. “Both the state and national hospital political action committees are privileged to recognize her leadership as a loyal supporter and a strong grassroots player.”

Mrs. Rochs, the first woman to chair the local hospital board and a current member of the Hill Country Memorial Health System Board of Trustees, will receive the award July 24 in San Antonio during a Texas Healthcare Trustee forum.
