William Leigh Dickey, 76, lost his battle with cancer on April 21, 2008. He was born in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Martin H.S. in Laredo, Texas. He was a navy veteran who served during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his beloved wife Frances, daughter Claire (and Jeff) Covin, son Chris (and Robyn). Grandchildren Timothy and Violet Covin, a brother Frank Dickey, and 2 sisters, Mary Ann Gralka, and Harriett Campbell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His career was in the aviation industry, and when he retired he faithfully served as a driver for CARTS in the Hill Country area for 13 years. His service will be at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco, Texas, visitation Thursday from 5-7, with a memorial service on Friday at 2:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gem of the Hills Aquatic Center in Blanco.
