Happy Birthday Heather!

Congratulations to Bruce Malone who came in 1st place in the ‘50’ plus race, held at Flat Rock Creek Ranch in Comfort. He competed in a 52-mile mountain bike race, which took over five hours. Bruce said it was very cold and very muddy. His parents are Judy and Bobby Brewer of Blanco.

Condolences go out to Clarence Waxler’s family. He was a nice, nice man. When I first moved to Blanco and waited on him at the drugstore, before he moved to Poteet, he said I was the friendliest person he had ever met and they ought to make more like me. I will always treasure that.

My afternoon of volunteering at the library last week was certainly made special by the unexpected appearance of Kathleen English. She had been in Fredericksburg visiting, attending a performance of Ballet Folklorico, and wanted to top off her visit by stopping in to see us. We miss seeing her on a regular basis!Welcome back to Crystal, the librarian at the Blanco Library. She has been off due to illness for what seems like forever!

Reminder from Deb-don’t lock your keys in your truck-especially when it is running!
