The last day to file to be included on the ballot for the March 2, 2010 Primary Election was Monday, January 4. The General Election will be held in November 2010. Blanco County is in the Senate District 24, US Representative District 21, and the State Representative District 45.

The Republican County Executive Committee will meet at 10:00am on Friday, January 8 to draw for places on the ballot. Candidates are invited. The meeting will be at the Blanco Courthouse in Johnson City in the County Clerk’s office.

The following Republican candidates filed before the deadline of 6pm on Monday, January 4, 2010:

• County Judge - Bill Guthrie

• County Judge - Thomas Maultsby

• County Commissioner Pct 4 - Paul Granberg

There were no Democratic candidates that filed.
