Harvest House in Johnson City celebrated its Grand Opening on December 12 from 12 to 5. Nancy Thompson and her son, Kip Thompson, are the new owners.

Many different samples were available for all who attended; cheeses, jerky, dry sausage, ribs with their special House Blend BBQ rub, stuffed pork loin and fresh sausages.

One of the most popular sample items was chicken salad made with Harvest House smoked chicken. The item was such a hit that they are considering offering it as a regular item.

There was a clown on hand to entertain the kids with balloon animals, magic and roping tricks. Face painting and balloons were also available for the kids.

Sausage wraps and sausage on a bun and drinks were also available for sampling.

On display in the store were a nice variety of deli meats and cheeses, holiday gift bags and baskets, and fresh meats cut to order. Their newest additions are two custom made butcher blocks on which their specials of top sirloin and boneless center cut loin were cut.
