On Monday, November 23, about 70 kindergartners came to Live Oak Nursing Home to visit residents and sing some cute songs for Thanksgiving. Teachers and parents filled up our dining room and brought the holiday spirit.

On Tuesday, November 24, residents gathered in the dining room to receive gifts from the Yucca Garden Club. Cookies and punch was served. Every year, members fix up bags of goodies tied with a small stuffed pet for residents. We appreciate them for the work they put in.

Patty and Johnnie Haas hosted Thanksgiving for the “Byars Family” this year. The turkey and all the trimmings were enjoyed by Randy, Amy and Kason Haas of San Antonio, Debbie, Bobby, Shelby, and Travis Burt of Seguin, Shelby’s friend Chris from El Campo, Marilyn, Lawrence and Nan Mikes of Blanco, Tammy Leese of Houston, Jeanette and David Leese of Van Vleck and Marvin Haas of Spring Branch. Everyone brought food to enjoy, did alot of picture taking and visiting. As Aunt Pearl would say, “And a good time was had by all!”

Don’t forget the many holidays things going on this weekend in Blanco County! But stay warm!!!
