The JV girls finished third overall in the district track meet with a total of 102 points and the JV boys finished sixth overall with a total of 69 points at Junction on April 4 during the district track meet.
The 4x100 meter boys’ relay team, Kyle Holmes, Corey Dowlearn, Jordan Handberry and Derrick Flores, took sixth place over all with a time of 49.84.
In the 800-meter run Dalton Gray took fourth place with a time of 2:32.07. Morgan Petri took sixth place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 23.65. In the 100-meter dash Jenna Bryan took fourth place with a time of 15.26.
The 4x200 meter girls’ relay team, Sydni Kipp, Tatiana Alegria, Chelsea San Miguel and Teresa Collins, took third place with a time of 2:06.25. The boys 4x200 meter relay team, Kyle Holmes, DerrickFlores, Jordan Handberry and Corey Dowlearn took sixth place with a time of 1:46.68.
Brooks Lane placed fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.71. Jenna Bryan took sixth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 31.54.
Lindsey Winn placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 57.83 while Travis McClinton took first place in the 300-meter high hurdles with a time of 46.94. The 4x400 meter girls relay team Tatiana Alegria, Teresa Collins, Sydni Kipp and Linsdey Winn took third place with a finishing time of 5:14.99 while the boys took sixth place with a time of 4:03.29, this team consisted of Travis McClinton, Brooks Lane, Grady Childress and Derrick Flores.
In the high jump Teresa Collins took first place as she cleared 4’2”. Travis McClinton also took first place he cleared 5’2”.
Morgan Petri cleared 6’0” at the pole vault pit to claim first place. Grayson Elrod took first place in the boys division by clearing 10’0”, followed by Iran Delatore who took second place as he cleared 9’6” and Grant Weaver who took fourth place as he cleared 8’6”.
In the long jump pit Tatiana Algeria jumped 13’0” for third place and Lindsey Winn jumped 12’8” for fourth place. Derrick Flores took second place in the boys division as he jumped 16’9 1/2”.
Tatiana Alegria took fourth place in the triple jump with a jump of 25’5” followed by Teresa Collins who jumped 23’8” for fifth place and Morgan Petri who took sixth place with a jump of 21’0”.
Grady Childress took fourth place in the boys discus with a throw of 90’4”. Riki Cole took second place in the girls shot put with a throw of 25’8” and Tanner Sanchez finished six in the boys shot put with a throw of 32’8 3/4” .
