Dr. John Weaver and Dr. Doug Pautz offered a Hunter/Gatherer Meat as an auction item at the Blanco County Courthouse Gala in May.

Many ingredients used for the meal were donated and locally grown.

The winning bid went to Debbie and Cody Triesch, owners of Goin’ Postal; Pierre and Andra Perez, owners of Git R Dug; and Wayne and Deb Dworaczyk owners of Dirt Works.

The menu included bacon-wrapped figs, pumpkin soup, redfish from the Texas Gulf, Blanco County Whitetail deer, wild rice, vegetables, bread pudding, and local wines.
