Ron will be greatly missed
I've known Ron Houston for a long time.. We've worked together for the last few years. I will miss him terribly.. He always had a kind word to say. He was always upbeat and positive. I never heard a bad thing come from his mouth and he always treated me like family.. He would give you the shirt off of his back without flinching.. He was a friend to everyone and to all animals..

We need more people like Ron in the world..I will always remember him for his warm smile and firm hand shake.

I miss you, Ron..

Ron Houston
I WAS SORRY TO HEAR OF RON HOUSTON'S PASSING. I WORKED WITH RON IN RADIO MANY YEARS AGO IN SAN ANTONIO. BUT EVEN BEFORE THAT I USED TO LISTEN TO HIS SMOOTH VOICE WHEN HE WORKED FOR KEXL WAY BACK WHEN. HE IS ONE OF THE REASONS THAT I GOT INTO RADIO. I WANTED TO SOUND JUST LIKE HIM! LATER ON I DID A COUPLE OF TV COMMERCIALS WITH HIM FOR A NOW DEFUNCT RADIO STATION...KCCW...IN THE COMMERCIAL HE HAD ALL THE LINES AND I HAD NONE. BUT IT DIDN'T MATTER BECAUSE I WAS IN A COMMERCIAL WITH MY RADIO IDOL THE GREAT RON HOUSTON! AFTER THAT I WOULD SEE HIM AT THE STOCK SHOWS EVERY NOW AND THEN, HE WAS A GREAT GUY AND A GOOD FRIEND, I WILL MISS HIM AND HIS SMOOTH SOUNDING VOICE. GO IN PEACE MY FRIEND, FR

a great advocate for Blanco...
Ron will be sorely missed. He was a great advocate for the citizens of Blanco and loved serving his community. A classy statesman and one who stood up for his beliefs, he worked tirelessly for those who need help.
