Texas Wildlife Biologist Dan Snodgrass will be making a presentation on The Nature Conservancy and the Texas Nature Conservancy’s Pedernales River Project on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m. The presentation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Johnson City and is sponsored by the Blanco County Master Gardeners’ Association.

As a Wildlife Biologist, Dan Snodgrass works to enhance and protect the habitats for plants and wildlife in Texas. He specializes in wildlife management, land stewardship, and proper use and execution of prescribed fires. Mr. Snodgrass has spent over fifteen years working in conservation, ten of which have been with The Nature Conservancy of Texas with experience in the Texas Panhandle, the Gulf Coast of Texas, and, most recently, the Texas Hill Country. Prior to working for the Nature Conservancy, he worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Currently Mr. Snodgrass is the Pedernales River Project Director/Edwards Plateau Senior Land Steward. He is involved in land restoration projects, endangered species recovery programs, prescribed burning management, and conservation easements.

The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church. First Baptist Church is located at 102 N. Ave. F, at the intersection of Ave. F and Highway 290 W. Enter Fellowship Hall from the Ave. F entrance.
