Dan in Real Life

Keith–I'm not a big fan of the TV show "The Office", and I don't always like Steve Carell, but none of those things kept me from thoroughly enjoying Dan in Real Life. This is a great romantic, dramatic comedy that has many facets to the story line, like what happens during annual family get togethers, how a guy adjusts to raising 3 girls when something happens to their mom, and can love come between two brothers. This movie, while expected to be just a comedy, really strikes other chords as well, which makes a great family film as well as one that made me literally laugh for a few minutes straight during one scene between Steve & his daughter. This one’s a dark horse for me, so my verdict is see it. 3 ½ paws

Noel–This is a wonderful movie that I thoroughly enjoyed and completely recommend! Dan in Real Life is about a guy whose wife has passed away and he has had a hard time moving on. When he and his three girls arrive at a family reunion, he gets to meet his brother's newest girlfriend that he is supposedly crazy about. Little does Dan know that his brother's girlfriend is the same woman he met earlier that day and is himself crazy about. This movie is hilarious with a lot of family humor and great moments. 4 paws
