Clean up Blanco from 8 AM to Noon

• Blanco Trash-Off

City residents may use this opportunity to get rid of old furniture, appliances, TV’s, air conditions, tin, wire and just about anything except tires, paint, batteries or anything harmful to the environment.

Those unwanted items may be hauled to the City Yard on Jones Avenue between 8 AM and 12 PM. If you need assistance in getting your items to the yard, call city hall at 833-4525.

Anyone wanting to help should meet on the southeast corner of the courthouse grounds at 8:30 AM.

The City of Blanco, teaming with Keep Blanco Beautiful, urges everyone to help keep our great town truly “The Gem of the Hills.”

• Blanco River Clean-Up

Residents and Landowners along the Blanco River, Saturday is the 2nd annual River Clean-Up. Forty plus volunteers will be in the Blanco River and along the banks picking up trash and removing fishing line from the foliage. Please make them welcome for this one day annual event. Join the community from 4:30 PM to 7 PM at the Blanco Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Fish Fry at the fire station at 503 Pecan St.
