The members of the Ranch Hiway Club of the Blanco County EEA met Tuesday, March 4, in the meeting room of the Blanco Library. President Gwen Risinger presided. As an opening exercise, Gwen presented the most interesting Jelly Bean Personality Test, predicting the personality of each member by the color of Jelly Bean she chose.

Items of discussion included The Spring Tour for all County members; Ruby Jones is the coordinator from the Ranch Hiway Club and the tour will be in May this year. All members turned in recipes and finalized plans for the annual Spring Luncheon, to be held April 24 at the Gem of the Hills Center in Blanco. Plans were made for those attending the District 10 Spring meeting in Luling on March 18. Announcements were made for Blanco County's 150-year celebration and everyone was urged to participate.

Leona Smylie and Willie Olfers presented a most useful program on disaster preparedness and the personal plans that each family should make to be prepared.

Hostess Gwen Risinger served the most delicious pita sandwiches, vegetable chips and chocolate Easter candies.

Educational programs conducted by Texas Cooperative Extension serve people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, gender, religion, or national origin.
