Kenny Standridge was featured in the Blanco County News recently for his popcorn sales for the Boy Scouts of America. At the time, he was #1 in the region, which includes 11 states, and #2 in the country.

Kenny was allowed two more weeks and kept selling the popcorn. In March 2008, he was named #1 in the United States for his $33,500 in popcorn sales. He receives a $4,000 scholarship. 40% of the funds raised will go into a Boy Scout account to help Kenny pay his way. Kenny's troop, Troop #58 in Bulverde, is also #1 in the nation.
