Anita Joyce Winters Coleman, 75 of Johnson City, entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2008 following a lengthy illness.
Joyce was born September 26, 1932 to Melvin C. Winters and Anita Bergman Winters. After graduating from Johnson City High School, she attended Southwest Texas State University. She was a dedicated member of the First Christian Church of Johnson City and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Joyce was a lifelong resident of Johnson City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Melvin Winters, Jr. and Charles F. Winters. She is survived by her three beloved sons, Clifton W. Coleman; David F. Coleman and wife Luanne; and Shelton K. Coleman all of Johnson City; granddaughters Amber Coleman Fry and husband Tommy, Brooke Coleman White and husband Casey, and Brittni Coleman.
Visitation was held Monday, March 10 from 5pm to 7pm and Services were held on Tuesday, March 11 at 2pm at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City. Interment immediately followed at Johnson City Masonic Cemetery.
Honoring Joyce as pallbearers were be Cubby Hudler, Zachary Hudler, Ronnie Batchelor, Tommy Fry, Casey White and Bradley Wier. Honorary pallbearers are George Danz, George Byars, R.K. Byars, R.B. Felps and Dwayne Hoppe.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Johnson City – Growth Fund or the North Blanco County EMS.
