Bolieu Family Reunion - The Louis Bolieu family gathered in LaGrange at Yale and Jean Smith’s ranch on June 13, 2009. The day was spent getting reacquainted with family members, sharing old photographs, remembering events of the past and fishing. Bob and Bernice Kendrick, along with their daughter Kerrin, provided the family with a barbecue lunch that consisted of brisket, chicken, and a variety of side items.

Over 50 family members were present that came from various cities in Texas to as far as Florida. Those in attendance included: Yale Smith, Betty and Bob Shapley from Houston, Bob and Bernice Kendrick and Dorothy Jean Clarkson from San Antonio, Yalene Hobbs, Dorsey Lee and Angie Smith from Blanco, Vi and H.B. Ramsour from Kendalia, Harold Jr. and Irma Bolieu from Poteet, Meredith Sinson and children from Hitchcock, Sandra Bolieu from Freeport, Valerie Tullis from Dickinson, Ellen D. O’Neal from Mauriceville, Tamara Smith from Dallas, Stacy, Eric, Brooke, and Brett Haugeberg from Belton, Carolyn, Bob, Kevin, and Amy Bauerschlag from Cypress, Louis and Ola Faye Bolieu from Crawfordville, FL, Jeanie Herzog, Julie Hellickson and son Kade, Kerrin Meyer and Lon Bergman from Austin, Tony and Shirley Beaulieu and family from Pflugerville, and Aaron Bergman and children from Cedar Park.

Doris and Robert Rahm of Hye drove up to Lubbock on May 29 to attend the graduation ceremonies of Cooper High School on Saturday when Doris’s great-nephew, Trase Fritz, received his diploma. On Sunday, they visited with Nancy and Don Marble, who are cotton farmers in South Plains and former military friends of Doris and Robert.

On Saturday, June 6, Doris and Robert joined their daughter Melanie and son-in-law Patrick on a trip to Ft. Worth to attend the Indy Car Series at Texas Motor Speedway, where they met their son, Bryan, who had his travel trailer parked there for all of them to stay in. They returned home on Sunday.
