It’s all about belief. We pray to God and ask for healing of our body, our mind, our problems, and then we walk around after that saying (claiming) that we have the problem we asked God to deliver us from. That does not show belief in God, that He can, will, and has answered our prayer.

Proverbs 18:21 – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Jesus said if we believe it we’ll receive it. Mark 11:24 – “Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

A man in Mark 9:24 told Jesus he believed, and in the same breath, asked Jesus to help him with his unbelief. Ask God to help you with your unbelief, like he did.

I believe if it’s written, it’s true, and what God has done for others, He’ll do for us, because He is no discerner of persons (Deuteronomy 16:19), and He loves those who obey Him (John 14:21) and He said Jesus and His salvation is for whosoever believes, (John 11:26), and we are the whosoevers!

James said not to be double-minded, (James 1:8), which is someone who says one thing, but does something contrary to what he/she said.

Matthew 21:21-22 – “ 21Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

We need to check our beliefs, test ourselves, and watch what comes out of our mouths. Question: have you ever stood in a prayer circle and prayed for healing from arthritis? So, after your prayer is over, the next day someone asks you how you’re feeling, and you say, “oh, fine, but my arthritis is just killing me”. If you speak that you have arthritis, then you believe you do.

But, you say, you are still hurting. Well, believe that you won’t be hurting much longer, because God has healed you from the inside out, and sometimes it takes a little “trying” period, a “time of testing” that God puts us through, a “proving of faith” time, where we have to “walk in faith” and actually do what the bible says to do and believe in Him, and what He’s doing in us.

Faith is not the same as belief. You have to believe in something before you can have faith in it.

That’s why Roman’s 10:8, 9, 10 – says that we must believe in our hearts and speak with our lips, our faith in Jesus as our risen Lord, to have spiritual life.

What we speak, according to Jesus, is what is the overflow of our hearts.

Luke 6:45 – “The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”

And so if we really believe God can heal us, we will speak positively about the things we have prayed for, and not give up!

It’s the same thing with Abraham. He waited 25 years! Remember when God changed his name from Abram to Abraham? God miraculously caused him to bear children, but also changed his name, so people would begin calling Abram the father of many nations and therefore, many people spoke that he was the father of many nations before it became truth, just like many, many people are professing that Jesus Christ will return again, until He actually does.

When it comes to healing, or anything else, we must believe in our hearts and profess with our lips. It’s that simple. Once you get a grasp of that, (and God’s Word is in you and you are in Him) (John 15:7) you will receive your healing.

John 15:7 – “If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.”

What do you believe? Ask Jesus to help you with your unbelief!
