No Reservations

Noel–Finally, a breath of fresh air; a movie worth watching! I feel like over the last couple of weeks we haven’t found or reviewed any movie really worth seeing, but then we watched No Reservations, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Abigail Breslin. Now, it isn’t the best movie ever, but it is a very cute story and a good family movie that’s rated PG. The previews and movie trailers to this are a little misleading.

This isn’t your usual romantic comedy, in fact, its kind of sad in many areas. I thought that the little girl was supposed to be the main character’s daughter, but it’s actually her niece. I don’t want to ruin anything for you, but don’t rent this with the preconceived notion that everything is hunky dory and good. No Reservations has a good story line with great actors and I recommend it; just don’t watch it if you’re hungry because they cook some seriously delicious looking food in this movie. 3 paws

Keith–There’s a good-hearted nature to "No Reservations," and a wide range of emotions, as well. This is a story of how certain events can change our present existence and throw challenges that we have to adapt to, especially when other people are involved. This is a charming, funny, touching film that leaves you satisfied and hopeful for the characters involved, even though at times they were in tough situations. This is a great movie, and I plan on cooking up some intriguing dishes in the future ‘cause “No Reservations”, much like “Ratatouille,” left me wanting to destroy the kitchen trying to cook up something I wouldn’t have a clue about–Noel to the rescue! 3 ½ paws
