Nadine Roeder, of Johnson City, Texas had lost her cat and checked the website of the Blanco County Cat Coalition for Adoptable and Lost and Found cats.

She telephoned the contact number found on the website and was given the person taking care of the orange cat that she thought was her beloved Belmont.

Belmont had been renamed Morris and was shown on the website simply as male, neutered, unknown age, not old.

The website said he was gorgeous and friendly to his caretaker. He had been cared for and fed, for several months.

On Sunday, April 12th Nadine and her Belmont were reunited. Kermit Roeder, Nadine’s Grandpa, donated a large bag of cat food to the Blanco County Cat Coalition. Belmont, now home again, was served ham for his Easter Sunday dinner. He had been away for several months, and at first he was a little scared and unfamiliar with home, but he adjusted in one day.

Belmont and Nadine are now happily reunited. Nadine said, “The whole family is happy he is home, even the dogs”.

The Blanco County Cat Coalition is a local non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of stray and feral cats in Blanco County through Trap-Neuter- Return.

The Coalition also provides an adoption service and works with the Blanco County Disaster Response Group in providing shelter for cats in times of natural disaster.
