Blanco and Kendall County AgriLIFE Extension Offices are co-sponsoring a Pecan Management Program on Tuesday, April 21, beginning at 3:00 pm. This program will offer 3 CEU credits for persons holding a Private Applicators License.

The program will include a tour of Don Hagans’ “Circle H Orchards”, located near Bergheim. Dr. Larry Stein, AgriLIFE Horticulturalist will demonstrate Pecan Grafting techniques and present information on proper pecan orchard management and production.

The orchard is located at 7380 Rolling Hills Trail. Driving from Johnson City, take 281 South, to FM 473 to Kendalia. >From Kendalia, take 3351 to Hwy 46 (near Bergheim). Go straight, staying on 3351 to Ammann Road. Turn right on Ammann Road, then take the 1st left, which is Rolling Hills Trail. Go about a mile and you will see the orchard on the right.
