The youth of Blanco Church of Christ gathered materials from the congregation, their parents, and the community to put together 105 gallon size Ziploc bags to distribute to a homeless shelter in San Antonio.

The 105 bags were delivered on Sunday, January 20. This happened to be their second visit to the shelter. The first visit had such a lasting impact on the youth that it left them wanting to do even more.

This time they would recruit the help of some FCCLA students from the high school with their endeavor. The delivery caused tears to come from both sides. From those that received as well as those that gave. The youth picked out the scripture: "Every good

and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights." James 1:17, to put on each bag.

This project was one of many that the youth have participated in as part of the "Leadership Training For Christ". The youth will be attending the LTC conference in Dallas during March 20-22.

The students pictured helped to deliver the Ziploc bags to the homeless shelter: Leah Cloud, Leslie McClinton, Allen Standtman, Alicia Immel, Joseph Romero, Jamie, McClinton, Chelsea San Miguel, Travis McClinton, Hillary Tidwell, Kasie Dowdy, Cary Bryan, and Jenna Bryan.
