Dear Editor,
As Vice President of the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce, I would like to remind chamber members, business owners and citizens of Blanco County about our Annual Civic Awards Event and Nomination of Officers and Directors. The event will be held on Friday, February 22nd, 2008 at the PEC Auditorium and will be begin at approximately 6:15PM.
As in the past, the event will be catered so expect a very nice meal. The cost is approximately $20 per person and will include dessert, coffee and tea. You’ll need to RSVP to MJ Love at the Johnson City Visitors Center by Friday, February 15th, 2008 and you can pay at the door.
The 3 categories for the civic awards are Special Contribution Award, Community Service Award and Citizen of the Year Award. You may pick up a nomination form at Johnson City Bank, Cattleman’s Bank or Johnson City Visitors Center (located at the corner of Nugent and Main Streets). Or you can email, fax or call MJ Love at the Visitor’s Center with your nomination. All ballots will be picked up and counted on Friday, February 15th,2008 so get YOUR vote in today. Last year’s recipients are George Culp, Norma Honeycutt, and Bob and Frana Keith. Like these folks, I know there are quite a few well deserving folks out there that deserve the recognition!
Included in our program for the evening is J. David Bamberger with an informative agenda, a very special door prize and presentation of the civic awards.
