Julius Herman Pfullmann, 95, passed away February 5, 2008 in an Austin hospital. He was born and lived his life ranching in Henly.

He was an Army Veteran of WW II. He served in the Phillippines and took part in the liberation of the Bataan Death March survivors. He looked through the survivors until he found his next door neighbor from Henly, John McCarty. He received five Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts.

He is survived by two sisters: Clara Behrendt, Austin and Lillian (Alex) Soell, Comfort; two sisters-in-law: Erna Pfullmann, Dripping Springs and Ruby Pfullmann, Austin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Hilmar, Arno, Leroy, Victor and Edgar Pfullmann and a sister, Ella Erfurt.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Crofts Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Blanco Cemetery.
