Blanco County Commissioners on Tuesday approved the use of the interior of the Blanco County Courthouse for the Wild Flower Festival Youth Art Show. The Festival, scheduled for April 17, may use the lower floor of the Courthouse at times when it will not interfere with normal county business. Commissioners approved set-up on Friday after 5:00 p.m.
The Lady Panther softball team played outstanding defense, winning four games and securing first place in the 7th Annual Blanco Panther Softball Tournament. The Panther’s faced the Llano Yellow Jackets first, who jumped out in the lead, 2-0, scoring one run in the first inning and another to keep the lead in the fourth inning.
Johnson City, TX – Kelly Carper Polden, a local author and communications consultant, signed a contract with Arcadia Publishing, the leading local history publisher in the United States, to author a book entitled Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park.
